Canoe Paddles on Rocks Public Sculpture Fall 2023

Description:
A maquette sculpture of canoe paddles on rocks for Art 156: Three Dimensional Concepts course. The objective was to design a sculpture for a public location of my choice. This sculpture was designed for Poka'i Bay beach in O'ahu, Hawai'i, to represent an activity within the community and Hawaiian culture. The sculpture was made with clay and bisque-fired. Textures were used for the rocks and everything was painted with spray paint, acrylic, and gouache.
